Understanding Climate: Selected Works of Yale Mintz
[ADP-vol136]
$62.00

In the selected works of Yale Mintz, he and his colleagues analyze and treat crucial problems in large scale atmospheric and oceanic circulation. The simulation of meteorological processes, largely using general circulation models, was put on a sound physical basis. These studies contributed significantly to improving our understanding of the processes that govern our climate. The topics range from observation studies of atmospheric momentum fluxes to the influence of surface moisture on precipitation, and include studies of the atmospheres of Mars and Venus.

This volume is a collection of some of the many papers authored or coauthored by Yale Mintz, some of which are no longer easily available because they date back to the early 1950s. It will be of interest to meteorologists, oceanographers, and climatologists -- students and researchers alike.
